I connect to Argentina by the women that raised me. I live through their thoughts and remember through their memories of home before moving to the United States. I chose to work with a material that is delicate and unduable to represent the impact that time has in fading our attachments to past lives. Leaving small, but valuable impressions of where and who we used to be.
Together, with my grandmother Ana Maria Perez, we crochet the bases
using similar sewing patterns she used to make my mom’s winter
clothes in the 80’s.
